Camp Saint Francis program is focused on outdoor activities, combined with chapel, scarf, and discussion times.
  • Program Sessions are basically lessons geared toward skill development, creativity, performance, and teamwork.

  • Chapel in concert with our Scarf program, take a child-friendly approach, aimed to develop our campers on all levels and provide them with tools to grow spiritually.

  • The Scarf program is an optional program where a camper decides whether or not they want to accept the personal challenge for growth this next year. The foundation of Scarf is the Christian message of acceptance, love, kindness to others, caring for ourselves, and service.

  • Spirit is the key to maintaining the electricity, fun-filled, and loving atmosphere that camp fosters. These include the games, songs, skits, roll-call cheers, and traditions which create the magic of camp.
Programs:
  • Crafts: consists of beads, bracelets, key chains, small pre-fab projects, decorating, glueing, painting, constructing, and creating other projects that interest them.
  • Archery: learn safety, develop your skill, and hone your accuracy using the 3 P's: practice, Practice, PRACTICE!
  • Woodworking*: build and create using wood crafting tools, a keepsake for you to take home at the end of the week. (i.e. Bird houses and other similar wood projects.
  • Scarf: is a bandana-like article of clothing which is a symbol for taking a personal challenge to better yourself and grow Spiritually. Much like the order of Karate belts, Scarfers must take their challenges in order according to different ages and maturity levels.
  • Campfire: is a great opportunity to learn the basics of outdoor stage performance. Campers will pick and rehearse a skit, song or other act with staff and create "quick-props" outta cardboard and paint. Campers will compete in Thursday night’s last Campfire Skit Night.
  • Swimming: there is time during open lake for swimming as well as the afternoon sessions later in the day. Note: lifeguard(s) is(are) on duty at all times while lake front is open.
  • Music: beginner guitar lessons and beginner recorder lessons will alternate in the afternoon.
  • Outdoor Skills: campers will learn basics in building a campfire, shelter, knot tying, and cooking a meal outdoors.
  • Cooking: fun in the kitchen is the best way to describe it. In the afternoon campers will learn to make little snacks, bake and decorate cookies, and put together Canteen for camp.
  • Boating: using canoes and kayaks during first session, open lake, and third session. Note: lifeguard(s) remain ON, during all times while the lake front is in use.
  • Dance: come learn some dance moves and have fun. Brief training in cultural dance like Capoeira may also be offered.
